As an administrative assistant, you will be the initial contact for the city, handling a variety of tasks ranging from greeting customers and visitors to managing phone reception duties and accounts receivable. You'll also perform various human resource functions, assist in utility customer service, maintain the city's website and Facebook page, and create a monthly newsletter. This position requires a strong background in computers, particularly in using word processing, spreadsheets, Adobe, and general ledger. Exceptional customer service skills are a must, as you will be interacting with the public and city personnel regularly. Additionally, the candidate will be on call for the Sanborn Ambulance Team, making this a dynamic role that uniquely combines administrative duties with emergency medical responsibilities.
