IT Director Opportunity in Jefferson, Iowa

Greene County is actively seeking a full-time IT Director to lead and manage its Information Technology Department. The Director will play a crucial role in providing hands-on direction and coordination across various technology needs, ensuring the county's tech operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position involves overseeing the assessment, development, and support of both in-house and third-party computer applications. Additionally, the management of the County’s LAN/WAN network is a key responsibility. The ideal candidate will have expertise in virtualization, Windows operating systems, and server environments. Previous experience working with firewalls, Microsoft SQL, and voice over IP phone systems is needed. This role demands an individual capable of working independently, demonstrating reliability, responsibility, and dependability with minimal supervision. Qualified candidates should possess at least an associate or bachelor’s degree in networking, computer science, or a closely related field, along with 2-3 years of related job experience.
