Assistant Swim Coach – Sioux Center, Iowa

Dordt University is excited to invite applications for the position of Assistant Swim Coach, available as either a part-time or Graduate Assistant position, to join the Defender Swim Program in Sioux Center, Iowa. As a member of our athletic department, you will play a pivotal role in developing student-athletes, not only in their swimming abilities, but also in their academic success and spiritual growth.

In this role, you will work closely with the Head Coach to nurture a culture of integrity, collaboration, and achievement among our swimmers. Your primary responsibilities include assisting with daily practices and dryland training, providing technical swimming instruction, supporting meet preparations and logistics, and facilitating opportunities for student-athletes to grow within a faith-based environment. The position values strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a genuine commitment to mentoring young people both in and out of the pool.

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree, and those seeking a Graduate Assistantship must be admitted to a Dordt University Master’s program. A deep understanding of swim fundamentals and the ability to clearly demonstrate and communicate skills are essential.
